Test the "NO OIL" Warning Circuit
Leave the oil line off the outboard oil inlet fitting (or remove oil line) Connect shop tank with 50:1 fueloil mix to the outboard fuel inlet fitting Start the outboard and run at 1500 RPM in gear After the residual oil in the oil line is used (may take several minutes)' the System Check gauge "NO OIL" light should turn ON and the warning horn should sound for 10 seconds If the light does not turn ON, or the horn does not sound for 10 seconds, check the warning system Refer to OMC System Check Engine Monitor, Section 7
INote The

"LOW OIL" and "NO OIL" warning circuits alert the operator to possible problems with the VRO systemYou must be sure they are working properly before continuingIf they are not workingproblems would go undetected and serious powerhead damage might occur
Test if Pump is Self-Priming

Complete the installation by connecting the oil supply hose to the outboard oil inlet fitting

Before attaching hose, hold output end of oil primer bulb up and squeeze bulb to purge all air from oil lineAllow small amount of oil to flow from the hose to remove any contaminants that might be in the line
