No Load Current Draw, Electric Starter
INote Securely fasten
starter in vise or other suitable fixture before proceeding with this check
1Locate battery rated at 500 CCA (60 amp-hr) or higher that is in good condition and fully charged
2Connect 0-100 amp ammeter in series with heavy jumper between the battery 1+1 terminal and the starter 1+1 terminal
3Attach or hold vibration tachometer, such as Frahm Reed tachometer, to the starter
