6Lightly apply ONIC Triple-Guard grease to new a-ringInstall the a-ring in top groove of the bearing housing
INote Do not install the -ring in the bearing

housing's bottom groove The bottom groove is an oil passageGearcase damage could result
Driveshaft Servicing

1To separate the upper driveshaft from the lower driveshaft, remove the roll pinReplace the damaged component

2To assemble the driveshaft, install the driveshaft retainer into the groove of the upper driveshaft

3Install the upper driveshaft into the lower driveshaft, aligning the holes in the driveshaft retainer and the lower driveshaft4Install the roll pin:
