13Insert the steering friction handle screw through the guardPlace the spring on the screwTurn the handle screw in the swivel bracket until it contacts the steering friction bu shing Do not tighten it at this time14Slide the thrust washer onto the steering shaftSlide the steering shaft into the swivel bracket
15Thoroughly clean splines of the pivot shaft and lower mount bracketSpray splines with OMC Locquic PrimerPlace the keeper in the lower mount bracketApply OMC Nut Lock to splinesSlide the lower mount bracket on splines of pivot shaft aligning the steering arm forward and end of bracket aftInstall new nut with its unstaked side facing the mount bracket and torque to 190-210 ftIbs(258-285 Nm)16Lubricate the swivel bracket assembly through the grease fitting with OMC Triple-Guard grease
