Stern Bracket Servicing Removal

1Remove the gearcase as described in Section 62Remove the powerhead as described in Section 43Remove the exhaust housing as described in this section
Disassembly

1Using a insocket, remove the retaining nut from the bottom of the pivot shaftDiscard the nutRemove the mount bracket and the keeper from the pivot shaft2Remove the steering shaft and thrust washe swivel bracket
