STEPCHARGE COIL TEST, V6 MODELS Ground Test
1Disconnect the starboard side connector between stator and power pack2Attach test adapter from Kit, PI 434017, to stator connector3Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"
4Connect the meter black lead to clean engine ground Alternately connect meter red lead between brown, brownyellow stator leadsCrank engine and observe meter at each connectionAny reading indicates charge coil is grounded Locate and repair ground, or replace stator assembly5Repeat Step using brownblack and brownwhite stator leads
6If no reading is indicated in Steps or 5, go to Output TestOutput Test
1Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and" 500"
2Attach meter black lead to brown stator leadAttach meter red lead to the brownyellow stator
