SparkThrottle Pickup Point
1Verify that the spark lever screw is still loose
2With the engine not running, move the spark lever and throttle linkage rearward
rn 3Slowly move the throttle linkage rolleruntil the forward carburetor throttle cam just touches its rn 4.lever the throttleuntil its roller just touches the spark camHold linkage in position and slowly move the forward spark
5Carefully tighten the spark lever screw
6To verify adjustment, move linkage rearward and then slowly forwardTimer base and carburetor linkage must begin to move at exactly the same time7Install the timing wheel cover and the air silencer8Install the spark plugs and tighten them to torque of 18-20 ftIbs(24-27 Nm)9Install the throttle cable as described in this section10Start engine and allow it to reach operating temperatureVerify engine running quality
