Starter Circuit Check20-30 Remote
INote Battery must be fully chargedStep Procedure Remove black lead from ground at CDConnect voltmeter between CD and common engine groundTurn key to START positionVoltmeter should show battery voltage Connect meter at START positionResult aIf no reading, go to Step
Check voltage between ground Steps thru Remove starter to solenoid cable from (j) to prevent starter engagement while making checks
bIf meter reads battery voltage, reconnect black lead to ground and go to Step
II Check voltage between ground
aIf meter reads battery voltage, lead is open between CD and
INote Steps fJ thru IITurn
key OFF before connecting and disconnecting meterTurn key to START position after connectingConnect meter at Turn key to START position
bIf no reading, go to Step
