[] 9Remove the propeller shaft, with thrust washers, and reverse gear componentsIf forward thrust washer is not on propeller shaft, check for it in relief area on forward gear in gearcase10Using magnetic tool, locate and remove the two shifter detent balls and one detent spring from the gearcase
11Remove pivot pin from gearcaseDiscard the O-ring12Unscrew the shift rod and remove it from the gearcase
