5Slide the mount housing bumper into place between the lower front mount and the exhaust housingPosition the port and starboard lower mount housingsClean the threads of the four lower mount housing screws and apply ONIC Screw Lock to threads of the screwsInstall the two side lower mount screws, then install the two front screwsTighten all four screws to torque of 144-168 inIbs(16-19 Nm)
[] 6Apply ONIC Gasket Sealing Compound to new idle relief muffler gasketPlace new seals on the screwsPosition the gasket and install the muffler
7Slide the adjusting lever and shaft through the exhaust housing with flat side upAs the adjusting lever and shaft comes through the exhaust housing, install the shift rod lever CDSnap the shift shaft retainer Q) into placePlace new shift rod lever clip over the shift rod leverInstall and tighten the screw to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)Bend the locking tab of the clip against the head of the screw8If removed, apply ONIC Adhesive to the four washers and place the washers as shown in figurePlace the lower engine cover on the exhaust housingInstall and tighten the screws to torque of 72-96 inIbs(8-11 Nm)9Slide the actuator cam through the lower engine coverPlace the bottom of the cam over the grease fitting of the adjustment lever and shaftPosition the actuator cam grommet in place in the lower engine cover10Remote ModelsSecure the shift lever Ml to the adjustment lever and shaft with two screws and lock washers11Install the gearcase as described in Section 612Install the powerhead as described in Section 4
