[] 13Remove the lower thrust mount and shift rod grommet .14Refer to Cleaning and Inspection at the beginning of this section
Assembly and Installation]1Install the lower thrust mountand shift rod grommet to the exhaust housing[] 2Apply GE RTVadhesive and install the two upper mountsApply OMC Nut Lock to the four upper mount retaining screws and torque to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
3Place the upper thrust mount and plate in position on the swivel bracket assembly
[] 4Clean all sealant from the threads on the two upper mount to steering bracket screwsApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of screwsPosition the swivel bracket assembly on the exhaust housingInstall the two upper mount screws and tighten to torque of 18-20 ftIbs(24-27 Nm)Install caps with new 0rings and torque screws to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
5Place the lateral mounts in the lower mount bracketsApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of lower mount bracket screwsInstall the lower mount bracketsTighten screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)6Position new idle relief muffler gasketInstall the muffler to the exhaust housingApply OMC Nut Lock to the muffler's retaining screw threadsTighten the screws to torque of 48-60 inIbs(5-7 Nm)7Position the lower engine cover support on the exhaust housing and torque the five screws to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
