Timer Base Servicing Removal
& To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist
and remove all spark plug leads
1Remove the stator assemblyRefer to Stator Servicing2Disconnect the timer base connector
rn 3Remove the screws securing the timer base retaining clips
Remove the timer baseInstallation
1Carefully inspect the crankcase head and timer base bushing for dirt, metal chips, or scratches
rn 2.bearing surfacecoating of OMC Moly Lube to the crankcase Apply light head and the timer base bushing.3Lubricate the retainer ring groove Johnson Outboard Lubricant
