VRO Pump Reassembly
INote When
assembling the fuel and air motor pistons, always install new washers and stem in addition to other new parts requiredLightly tighten stem with fingers only, never with pliers
1Insert stem screw into fuel piston from the hex recess sidePlace flapper valve and valve retainer (recess out) onto screwPlace new washer in retainer recess, and thread new stem onto screwMake sure hex head of stem screw is in hex recess, and that the flapper valve and washer are centered on pistonTighten stem only finger tight2Lubricate stem with Evinrude or Johnson Outboard Lubricant and insert stem through seal in intermediate housing
[]] 3Place new washer on air motor piston screwHold air motor piston under intermediate housing with poppet valve pushed upScrew hex head is held in hex recess only when poppet valve is pushed up
