Installation
1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove spark plug leads2Place the shift lever into FORWARD gear
IJJ 3Lubricate the driveshaft splines with OMC Moly LubeDo
not coat the top surface of the driveshaft as lubricant here may prevent seating of the driveshaft in the crankshaft
4Lightly apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to lower outside diameter of the water tubeSlide the gearcase into position on the exhaust housing being careful to guide the water tube into the water pump grommetRotate the flywheel clockwise to align crankshaft splines with driveshaft16600
rn 5Apply OMC Nut the gearcase retainingthe gearcaseTightLock to threads of and extension screwsInstall screws en the front screw to torque of 120-144 inIbs(14-16 Nm) and the two rear screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
