1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads2Remove screw retaining the choke cable clamp to the powerhead and disengage cable from the carburetor choke link3Remove nut from the knob end of choke cableRemove the cable
4Remove the lower motor covers, manual starter, and cam sprocket coverSee Section 45Remove throttle cable clevis end from the throttle armPry off using screwdriver with the blade against the arm retaining screw6Remove screw and washer retaining the throttle cable anchor
