Evinrude owners to return their new engines to an authorized dealer for mechanical check
This check should be performed after approximately 20 operating hoursThe cost of this check should be figured at local dealer labor rates and paid for by the engine ownerThe 20-hour check should include1Drain and fill gearcase with recommended lubricantPressure and vacuum test gearcase if signs of water are present2Lubricate steering cable ram with OVIC Triple-Guard grease3Check torque on cylinder head screws and spark plugs
