Throttle Cable 1Remove cable retainerApply liberal amount of OMC TripleGuard grease to both anchor block pockets2Extend throttle cable and lubricate with OMC Triple-Guard grease3Move the remote control handle to NEUTRALVerify that the fast idle lever is down in the RUN position rn supplied with engineguide to throttle lever pin using 1 4Attach cable casing clip
5Install the throttle levershift support lever washers and secure with retaining screw
6Pull firmly on throttle and shift cables to remove backlashInstall trunnion nut in anchor pocket
7Install anchor pocket cover with two screws, finger tight only8Adjust trunnion nut so that carburetor throttle plate lever closes completely to the idle stop screw
9Advance remote control handle to wide-open throttle positionLoosen throttle stop screw nut Adjust stop screw against the throttle cable to maintain the throttle plate in the wide-open throttle positionTighten stop screw nut after adjustment is correct10Check cable adjustment: If throttle cable adjustment is too loose, idle speed might be high and inconsistent If throttle cable adjustment is too tight, control effort might be high through the shifting range
