1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads
rn 2Remove the shift rod screw

3Using screw

inthin wall socket, remove the countersunk

rn 4Remove the four gearcase screws 5Remove the gearcase from the exhaust housing, being careful not to bend the shift rod
