Set Timing Pointer
INote If the timing pointer bracket has been disturbed, check the
t iming pointer alignment1Remove the three spark plugs from the cylinder head
rn 2pointerthe screw securing the timing pointerCenter the Loosen iming Tighten the screw3Rotate the flywheel clockwise until the cast-in TDC mark is approximately in (25,4 mm) past the timing pointerNEVER rotate the flywheel counterclockwise
4Install OVIC Piston Stop ToolPIN 384887, in the No.1 cylinderAdjust the tool to make contact with the piston
5While holding the piston firmly against the piston stop tool, make mark on theflywheel inline with the timing pointer
