Proceed slowlyMake no forced assemblies unless pressing operation is called forAll internal components must be perfectly clean and lightly coated with Johnson or Evinrude Outboard LubricantUse new gaskets and seals during assembly
[]] rn 1.Bearing Installer, PIN 115309.and lower ball bearings If removed, install new upper When pressing on the using OMC
bearings, support the crankshaft between the two counterweights and press against lettered side of the bearing2Apply coat of oil to wrist pin and wrist pin hole in piston
3Insert wrist pin through either side of pistonOil wrist pin bearing and place into connecting rodPosition the connecting rod into piston with the arrow mark on piston top pointing to bottom of the crankshaftInstall wrist pin using suitable toolInstall new wrist pin retaining rings
4Install piston ring on pistonSpread ring with ring expander just enough to slip it over the head of the piston and down into place5Coat the piston and cylinder bore with oil
