STEPPOWER PACK RUNNING TEST
Make all running tests at the engine RPM where the intermittent or high speed ignition problem existsThe correct RPM can have an effect on identifying the problem
1Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"Twist and pull the primary lead off the ignition coilTurning in clockwise direction, attach terminal extender to the primary terminal of the coilReconnect primary lead to terminal extender
INote Route all tester leads so they do not interfere with moving
engine parts2Connect meter black lead to clean engine groundStart engine and run at RPM where problem exists3Hold the meter red lead against metal part of the coil extenderDo not hold metal part of meter lead when engine is operating Observe meter readingStop the engine Meter should indicate continuous reading of 220 volts or higher
