Ignition Plate ServicingCD II Removal
1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads2Remove the manual starterSee Section 73Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing
4Loosen the five screws attaching the ignition plate to the retainer plateLift the ignition plate from the powerhead
5Remove the four support plate screws Lift the retainer and support plates from the powerhead
Installation 1Place the retainer plate, then the support plate on the powerheadAlign support plate with four screw holes in powerheadApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of the four support plate screws Install and tighten the screws to torque of 48-60 in Ibs(5-7 Nm)2Apply OMC Moly Lube to crankcase boss
