Break-In Procedure Standard Fuel TankUse 25:1 fueloil mixture for the first hours of operationOptional AccuMix ROil Injection SystemUse 50: fuel oil mixture in addition to the AccuMix system for the first hours of operationTo help ensure long engine life and prevent serious engine damage, using additional oil in the fuel is mandatory during the first few hours of operation of: new engine used engine with new powerhead used engine with newly rebuilt powerhead Note DO NOT operate motor out of waterWater pump can be damaged or engine can overheatINotel DO NOT operate engine at constant throttle settingChange engine RPM oftenFirst 10 Minutes Operate engine in gear at fast idle ONLY Verify water pump operation; look for steady stream of water from the water pump indicatorNext 50 Minutes Operate engine up to 12 throttle (no more than 3500 RPM) Verify water pump operation; look for steady stream of water from the water pump indicator Change engine speed every 15 minutes; DO NOT hold constant throttle setting
