Correctly route the brush leads, and install the springs and brushesCompress the springs with modified putty knife
INote Incorrect orientation of brushes could damage the starter
or cause reverse rotation2Apply CIVIC Extreme Pressure Grease to the gear housing armature bearing Install the thrust washer and armature
3Orient the starter framethe long alignment mark will match the mark next to the positive terminal stud on the gear housing
