23Using OMC Driveshaft Seal Protector, PI 318674, slide the driveshaft bearing housing onto the driveshaft24Pull up on the shift rod to engage FORWARD gearTurn the gearcase upside down by rotating the holding fixtureBe sure any excess grease is removed from the pinion needle bearingsDegrease inside taper of the pinionPosition the pinion in the gearcase
