14SI ide the propeller shaft onto the sh ifter shaft, lig the hole in the shaft with the hole in the clutch dog, install the pin and then, new clutch dog retaining springPosition three coils over each end of the pin, making sure none of the coils overlap or are loose
15Locate the propeller shaft assembly and align the forward bearing housing with the detent lever toward the topPush the detent lever down, into REVERSE positionBe sure the thrust bearing and the thrust washer are properly positionedInsert the propeller shaft assembly into the gearcase, being sure to align the shift housing pin with hole in forward end of gearcase housing16Lubricate two new shift rod cover a-rings with OIVIC Triple-Guard greaseInstall the a-rings into the shift rod cover
