1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads-

2Remove clamp on starter lockout cable
rn lifting away from starter housing.cable by sliding it forward 3Disengage the starter lockout and rn 4Remove screws, starter handle bracket to air silencer base.5Remove screws, manual starter assembly to cylinder block
