To avoid accidental starting of engine, twist and remove all spark leads before beginning service
INotel Because ofthe number and types of fasteners (screws and nuts) it might be appropriate to reinstall fasteners in their holes as engine components are removedThis will simplify identification and assemblyW
1Remove bracket supporting power steering hosesRemove screw, flat washer, and locknut
2Be sure that spring clip is installed on the port and starboard lower pan supportsRemove the overboard indicator hose and grommet3Loosen the lower engine cover retaining screwsRemove one spring clip and one lower cover half at time4Loosen nut and lockwasher and release tension on power steering belt idler pulley5Loosen and remove screws, pulley to flywheelW
