Ohmmeter Test

All ohmmeter tests must be performed with the engine NOT running

1Insert jumper wires into terminals I AI and 181 of the stator's forward connector2Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect between jumpers Meter must show 850 85 ohms

3To test for grounded condition, connect ohmmeter alternately betweeneach jumper and clean engine ground Any needle movement indicates charge coil or leads are grounded Locate and repair ground or replace stator assembly
