Do not attempt to run engine with any fuel system component disconnected or removedFuel leakage could contribute to fire or explosion
Calibration To accommodate changes in factory specifications, weather conditions, or altitude, carburetor calibration can be adjusted without removing the carburetors
OJ The idle mixture is controlled by an adjustable needle The intermediate mixture is controlled by an air bleed orifice The high speed mixture is controlled by fuel orifice Using the engine's model number, refer to current parts catalog and orifice list in Section to determine correct orifice sizeRemoval
Push fuel hose off fuel fittingsdon't pullIf pushing won't separate hose and fitting, carefully cut the hose along its side and peel it back to avoid damaging the fittings1If equipped, remove the power steering hose support bracketLoosen the retaining screws and remove the port and starboard lower engine covers
