Manual Primer Servicing
Function Tests

1Remove primer hose from nipple in carburetorPlace hose end into suitable container to catch fuel2Squeeze fuel tank primer bulb to fill carburetor bowls with fuel3Operate primer pump twiceFuel should squirt from the hose into the container indicating primer is functioning4If primer pump fails to pump fuel from hose, restricted or kinked hose or inoperative primer pump may be the cause

5Remove hose from small nipple on top side of primer pumpInspect hose for kinks or obstructionsOperate primer pumpFuel should squirt from small nipple
6Inspect primer nipple to ensure nipple is free of obstructionsUse OIIIC Nipple Cleaning Tool, PIN 326623, to clean the metering hole in nipple29283
