Primer System ServicingElectric Start Models Function Test

1Start engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperatureSet engine speed at 2000 RPM

2While engine is running, push key in Engine should run rich and drop 1000 RPMStop engine

3Remove primer hose from any primer fitting that you suspect is cloggedConnect 18 inI.Dclear vinyl hose between the fitting and syringe filled with isopropyl alcohol4Press lightly on the syringe If fluid moves through the fitting, it is okayIf fluid does not move through the fitting, clean with OVIC Nipple Cleaning Tool, PIN 326623

1Remove the two bracket screws and remove the primer solenoidCarefully remove the three hoses2Remove the terminal screw and disconnect the purplewhite leadInspection
