Disconnect battery cables from battery before servlcmg electrical systemsFailure to do so could result in injury from electrical sources (sparks) or from contact with moving parts if accidental cranking or starting occursProvide sufficient slack at motor end to permit steering and tilting of motor without binding cables
1Route instrument harness into lower motor coverPosition harness so it will not interfere with the upper motor cover when installed Route harness to position where the connectors can be attached at the junction box
2Install protective plug (supplied with engine) On power trimtilt 3-pin connector on non -trim models
