& When using flushing attachment, always remove engine's
propeller before starting engine to prevent accidental contact with moving propellerINotel Use flushing attachment if you operate the engine on trailer or dolly to prevent engine or water pump damage
2Run the engine at approximately 1500 RPM for five minutes to ensure that the entire fuel supply system and the engine's carburetors are full of stabilized fuel3Prepare an engine "storage mixture" in shop V6 six-gallon tankThe mixture should include: Five gallons of fuel Two quarts of OMC Storage Fogging Oil One pint of Johnson or Evinrude Outboard Lubricant 2112 ozof OMC 2+4 fuel conditioner 4Connect the tank containing the "storage mixture" to the engineLeave the oil supply hose connected to the engineRun the engine on the "storage mixture" at approximately 1500 RPM for five minutesI Note Do not disconnect fuel hose or run VRO equipped engines out of fuelDisconnecting fuel hose while engine is running could cause excessive oil consumption and eventual hard starting5Stop engine and remove all spark plugsSpray liberal amount of ONIC Storage Fogging Oil into the spark plug holes6Turn flywheel clockwise to distribute the fogging oil throughout the cylindersInstall and torque the spark plugs
