and starter pawl plate starter assembly
with plate return spring

remove ring from the starter
rn 8Remove the friction plates and friction plate spring washer 9Hold the pulley in the starter housing while turning the starter over, legs downHold fingers clear ofthe pulley and jar the starter housing against bench to dislodge the rewind spring and pulleyRemove the pulley bushing from the pulley
