Installation
1Thread the starboard end of the tilt tube into the spacer
2Thread the adapter onto the port end of the tilt tube3Using wood or leather mallet, tap the tilt tube into proper position
[] 4Be sure the lock tab is in correct position
5Install the starboard locknutReplace the locknut if definite resistance is not felt6Torque the starboard tilt tube nut to 50-54 ftIbs(68-73 Nm), then loosen nut Va to 14 turn7Install tilt cam and collar on the tilt tubeBe sure locating tab on collar fits in hole on tilt tube
