11Install the lower pan support screws and washers on the port and starboard bracketsTorque the screws to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
12Install the forward lower coverTighten the screws securely
13Install the rear lower coverLoosely install the four front screws14Install the two rear screws Tighten all six screws securely15Secure the powerhead ground lead to the powerhead
16Align the shift rod and shift leverInstall the shoulder screw and torque to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
17Modelsalign the shift lever and shift rodPull the shift lever away from the powerhead and install retainer clipThe clip must compress the flat washer and wave washerTo avoid sudden loss of control, verify that all shift linkage is aligned properly and installed securely
