Assembly 1To replace the latch release rope, cut new rope 44 in(112 cm) longHeat ends of rope to prevent fraying2Tie knot in one end of the rope and thread the rope through the handle, bow arm, and latch [jl]
3Tie an overhand knot, and secure the knot with tie strap
4If the latch plates have been removed, install as follows: Position the latch plate on the deck bracketThe latch plate must be square on the bracket and perpendicular to the latch
Apply ave Nut Lock to the retaining screwTorque nut to 60-80 inIbs(6,8-9,0 Nm)5Place the cable drum in the bow arm with cable grooves offset to starboard side6Position the bow arm in the deck bracket
