rn 1from steering housing endsoap and insert cable into Spray steering cable with liquid sleeve
ing2Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to pinion and rack hous-
3Turn motor parallel with steering housingAlign index mark on rack with center of pinion, and place rack in mesh with pinionFit steering cable sleeve into notch in rack base
4Position cover on rackHold down cover and install long (silver colored) screws at locations marked "L"Install short (brass colored) screws at locations marked "S"Tighten screws to 7-10 inIbs(0,8-1,1 Nm)into the original threadsbefore turning it forwardIf the screw is allowed to cut new threads with each use, eventually too little material is left to hold the screw
