INote To avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equipment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding1Use an ohmmeter calibrated on high ohms scale or continuity light to test continuity2Connect one meter lead to BLACK battery cableLeave this meter lead connected for all the following tests
3Connect second meter lead foot pedal terminal strip:

The meter must show continuity If meter shows no continuity, repair or replace battery cables
rn 4Remove the steering housing coverrn 5Connect second meter lead to BLACK 14-Galead at steering housing terminal strip:
The meter must show continuity If meter shows no continuity, repair or replace wiring harness between foot pedal and steering housing6Remove indicator bulb from socketRemove motor from adapter housingDo not disconnect the motor leads at this timeCarefully, uncover wire splice on BLACK 14-Gamotor lead or connect second meter lead to pin that will pierce wire cover7Connect second meter lead to BLACK 14-Gawire splice: The meter must show continuity If meter shows no continuity, repair or replace motor tube wiring
