ForwardReverse SwitchHand Control Models
INote To avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equip-
ment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding1Remove steering housing cover
2Remove forwardreverse lever from control shaftRemove the forwardreverse switch and bracket to access the terminals3Use an ohmmeter calibrated on high ohms scale or continuity light to test continuity4Turn speed control switch to the OFF position5With switch in FORWARD (toggle away from handle on bow mount or toggle toward handle on transom mount): Meter must show continuity between the RED and WHITE leadsMeter must show continuity between the two BLACK leads
