Pump and Reservoir Servicing Function Tests
1Remove the rear plug from the side of the reservoir2Install components from

Pressure Gauge Kit,
If you are using flushing attachment, remove the propeller to avoid accidental contact while testing engine3Disconnect the boat's steering system at the steering cylinder bellcrankThe engine's power steering system can react quickly to mechanical input when the engine is runningBe prepared for steering cylinder movement
UID 4With
the engine running at 1000 RPM, push the spool valve bellcrank to extend the steering cylinder
5Continue pushing on the spool valve when the cylinder is fully extendedThe pump relief pressure should be 850-1000 PSI (5861-6895 kPa)
Test the system's flow rate while the boat's steering system is disconnectedWith the engine running at 700 RPM, cycle the cylinder from fully retracted to fully extended position by pushing on the spool valve bellcrankCycle time should not exceed 1.5 seconds
