Shift Cable To install shift cable:
1Grease trunnion pocket in cover half and cable pinPlace shift cable eyelet between shift lever halves and drop pin through shift lever and shift cablePress cable trunnion in trunnion pocket2Shift lever must be in NEUTRAL before control is reassembledThrottle lever must be forward against stopNeutral start switch must be in the center of neutral start cam
[] 3Apply RTVsealer around the side and top mating edges of the control halves during assembly
4To assemble control, lay cover half on bench and place housing half over itPlacing cover flat on bench keeps shift lever pin from falling outTake care to properly pilot the electrical cable grommet into the housingInsert the three cover screws and torque them to 40-50 inIbs(4,6-5,5 Nm)
