[] 4Place the swivel bracket between the stern brackets and attach the tilt cylinder[] 5Install the tilt tubeInstall one thrust washer on each side of the swivel bracket as the tilt tube is pushed into place
6Install the locknutReplace locknut if definite resistance to tightening is not felt
& 7Torque all stern bracket fasteners!
Torque tilt tube nuts to 50-54 ftIbs(68-73 Nm), then loosen one nut by '8 to 114 turn Torque screws, stern bracket to trim manifold, to 22-24 ftIbs(30-33 Nm)7727
8Install the tilt angle adjusting rod9Install the steering shaft and thrust washer10Install the steering shaft keeperApply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Nut Lock to the splines of the steering shaft and lower mount bracket
