Driveshaft Bearing Housing Service
The driveshaft bearing is not serviceableReplace the bearing housing if the bearing is worn or damagedAlso, inspect the driveshaft bearing surface if the bearing is damaged
1Remove the driveshaft bearing housing seal using ONIC Puller Bridge, PIN 432127, and ONIC Large Puller Jaws, PIN 432129Discard the seal
2Remove the a-ring from the bearing housing and discard3Clean the bearing housing in solvent to remove sealer from the seal bore and the a-ring groove4Install new seal in the bearing housing using ONIC Seal Installer, PIN 341439Apply DPL Penetrating Lubricant to the casing of the seal before installingInstall the the seal with the exposed lip facing away from the bearing housingPress the seal into the housing until the tool seatsApply ONIC Triple-Guard grease to the seal lips after installing5Lightly apply CJv1C Triple-Guard grease to new a-ringInstall the a-ring in top groove of the bearing housing14155
