21Remove the pinion bearing only if it needs to be replacedBefore attempting removal, take out the bearing retaining ring on top side of the pinion bearing using long-handle needle-nose pliers such as Snap-on No911CP or equivalent
Ifthe pinion bearing must be replaced, use OMC Bearing Remover and Installer, PIN 391257, and assemble it as follows:
Flange Nut, PIN 326586 Plate, PIN 391260 Q) Rod, PIN 326582 Remover, PIN 326579
INote Make sure all loose needles are inside bearing case before
pulling bearingThe needles will provide surface for the remover tool to pull against
