Thermostat ServicingAll Models Disassembly

1Remove the thermostat coverInspect its O-ring and replace if damaged2Remove thermostat components
3Remove the thermostat seat using OMC Slide Hammer, PIN 432128, and OMC Small Jaw Puller, PIN 432131Discard seat
4Inspect the components for cracks, heat damage, or signs of corrosionReplace if necessary
[] 5Inspect the thermostat seal in the cylinder headTo replace seal, remove cylinder headPlace the new seal in the cylinder head with side marked "TO CYL HEAD" facing out toward thermostat
