27Gently lower crankshaft assembly into place Orient all crankcase seal ring gaps facing up Locate tab on lower bearing seal housing in recess in crankcase Locate each center main bearing split sleeve on its dowel pin
28Lubricate No.1 crankpin and bearing assemblies with Evinrude or Johnson Outboard LubricantSlowly pull No1 connecting rod up to crankshaft and install bearings
29Lubricate threaded portion of No.1 rod cap screws with Evinrude or Johnson Outboard LubricantAlign dot on rod cap with dot on the connecting rodInstall rod cap screws finger tight
