Starter Circuit Check20-30 Remote I Note Battery must be fully charged
Procedure Remove black lead from ground at CDConnect voltmeter between CD and common engine groundTurn key to START position Voltmeter should show battery voltageConnect meter at Turn key to START position
Result aIf no reading, go to Step
Check voltage between ground Steps thru Remove starter to solenoid cable from (i) to prevent starter engagement while making checksII
bIf meter reads battery voltage, reconnect black lead to ground and go to Step
II Check voltage between ground
andINotel Steps thru Turn key OFF before connecting and disconnecting meterTurn key to START position after connecting
aIf meter reads battery voltage, lead is open between CD and
bIf no reading, go to Step
II Check voltage between ground
