9Remove the shift yoke with long-nose pliers
10Remove the shifter lever pivot pinDiscard the pivot pin O-ring11Remove the propeller shaft and reverse gear components from the gearcase
l1!J 12.Using magnetic tool, locate and remove the two shifter
detent balls and one detent spring from the gearcase
13Use long-nose pliers to remove the clutch dog and shifter lever assemblyUse no forceTilting the shifter lever slightly will allow you to remove it from the gearcase
